Description

If your dock is incompatible with the i-DOCK you need an AUX receiver. Look at the Bluetooth Receiver Plug for a permanent Bluetooth connection or the AudioStream if you would prefer a rechargeable receiver that doesn't rely on mains power.

	If you need something like this; don't hesitate.,
	I have never before left a product review of any description on the internet, but felt absolutely compelled to once I actually experienced this gadget. I have a Bose sound-dock that I previously used with my iPhone 4 (along with my girlfriends phone) but upon purchasing the iPhone 5, it obviously meant that I needed to re-think the set up given the change in pin size. I originally bought one of the cheap, freely available `pin adaptors' but found it to be mainly useless as it charged my iphone 5 (sometimes) but would not support playing music... So I bought this product instead! It only took 2/3 days to arrive and it is painlessly easy to set up. You fit it on to your dock (or any other device that supports) and it fits very snugly into the space that it should. If you're sound-dock is switched on, a small Blue light will start to flash to tell you that it is operating. You then find this device (named `'i-SYNC'') on your iPhone's Bluetooth settings and when trying to connect, it will briefly flash Blue & Red. It takes seconds. Once connected, it will play a small introductory noise, and that is it! You're free to play and control the music from your iPhone, iPad or anything else that you hook up to it. Last, but certainly not least; the sound quality is CRYSTAL clear. I have to admit, I had my doubts when looking at products like this and only really imagined getting something similar to analogue radio sound quality but it is brilliant. You do not suffer at all in terms of quality. A week in of using the product, and I'm still amazed at how good it is. In very simple terms: If you're in need something like this - don't be worried in the slightest. It's an amazing little product.

	Great Idea
	When the whole family moved over to iPhones a few years ago, I bought a few Bose docking stations for around the house (Kids bedrooms etc). These started to look like an expensive waste of money when iPhones started to fall out of fashion with a fickle teenager so I looked around for some solution. Bose produce their own adaptor at £79 which seemed way to expensive so I looked around and found these. Bought one to give it a go, worth a gamble at that price and was amazed at just how good it was - so much so that I bought another 3 to cover all docking stations in the house! Great product, good sound reproduction, fantastic price - what more can I say?

	I use the I-Sync with my Logic3 Pro Dock (itself a great device) to allow more people to sync & play their music. It works a treat & I no longer worry about the pin connection getting broke as people swap Ipods

	Fantastic Gadget
	We have an apartment in Turkey and have taken our old series one bose dock out there for music. Sadly our 30 pin ipods were stolen last year in Spain so now have to use the new ipods with the lightening connector. We purchased apple connectors to convert 30 pin to lightening connector but sadly whilst working well for music they did not charge the ipod. This amazing gadget solves all our problems it connected immediately and works perfectly with our series 1 dock.

	Tiny but mighty ! My BOSE sound dock now synchs to my latest ipod touch ( firewire so cannot dock anymore - grrrrr )and my laptop. Press the 1 button on the side to sync, Took about 5 seconds !

	What a great little product and a great British company
	Everything about this purchase has made me happy. The compatibility guide was spot on and the product worked straight out of the box. It has given a new lease of life to a quality BOSE sound dock that was otherwise mothballed! All for around £20 Bargain.

Q: I have what appears to be a Bose Series 1 SoundDock. Can you please advise how I can tell if it is a version 1 or version 2 ? I have 2 x Ipod Touch 3rd and 4th generation and also an iPhone 4 which all charge through my SoundDock. I have checked my serial number on the Bose website but it only advises I have a series 1 but does not tell me whether it is version 1 or version 2. Please can you help ? Gary

A: Hi Gary, because you can charge an iPhone 4 you have a second generation Bose 1 - which means you can use either the I-DOCK or I-SYNC. You don't need the BS-1.

A: Hi. The I-SYNC has mixed results with Pure docking stations. I would suggest the I-DOCK which is our latest receiver with a later version Bluetooth and better compatibility. In the event it's not compatible you can return it to us for a full refund or a replacement with an Aux Bluetooth Receiver - which is compatible with all docking stations / stereos with an Aux output. Q: Hi, just purchased an iSync and it works perfectly with my iphone when attached to a Bose Soundock. However, it will not pair with my iPad for some reason. The iPad can see it and it tries to connect but constantly fails. The message says "took too long to pair" Any suggestions why this should happen? Regards AH

A: Hi Alan. It sounds as though the receiver is still trying to search for your iPhone. Please try turning off the Bluetooth on your iPhone and searching again from the iPad. The i-SYNC can only sync with one device at a time. Any other problems, please call us on 01276 32375. Many thanks Kirsty

Q: Hi guys - I have upgraded to an iPhone 5. My friend at work told me to look for one of these, he said it will solve my problems with the phone not fitting the docks any more (we have Bose and a 'houseparty?') - are they easy to use? (Am a technophobe!)

A: Hi Jessy, the i-SYNC is very easy to use... You simply put the receiver in your docking station and then turn on the Bluetooth on your phone. You then pair to the i-SYNC (very easy to do) and you will connect. You can then play your music! And now you don't have to have your phone in the dock! If you have any trouble we are always here to help too : )

A: Hi there, most 30 pin Bluetooth receivers have problems with Sony docking stations. Our I-SYNC and I-DOCK will work with some, but not with others. We'd recommend using an Aux Bluetooth receiver - either our Aux Headset or Car Aux Receiver - either can be plugged directly into the dock / Hi-Fi and you can still Bluetooth in the same way.

Q: I have just brought your I-sync via amazon and just attached it to my bose dock. There are no lights coming on and no bluetooth connection. The dock charges my ipod ok. Have a got a faulty 8-sync or is there something else I should be doing?

A: Hi David, if the i-SYNC will not power up at all, it sounds as though you have an original Bose Series 1 Docking Station. If this is the case, you will need to return the i-SYNC for a BS-1 - which has been designed specifically to work on the original Bose docks, as no other 30 pin receivers will. You will know if you have have an original (first generation) Bose if it can not charge up an iPhone 4 upwards. Please call the office on 01276 32375 for further assistance.

Q: Hi, I recently purchased the i-SYNC. I have been trying to connect it to my Yamaha CRX550 micro hifi. I can connect my Samsung Galaxy S3 but there is no sound. I have now returned the i-sync. Is there any known compatibility issues with the Yamaha system and would the i-dock work?

A: Hi Paul, the i-DOCK has better compatibility with Yamaha than the I-SYNC. It doesn't work on all of them but does work with a lot! It would be worth testing it out and if not, you still have the option of using an Aux Bluetooth Receiver (we have 4 of these under Bluetooth Accessories: http://www.layen-uk.com/BLUETOOTH-ACCESSORIES_c_12.html).
