Q: will this unit work with a B & W Zeppelin?
A: Hi David - if it's an early dock without airplay then the I-DOCK will work. They are on back order at the moment, but you can place the order and reserve one. They are due in around 15th November. Many thanks.
Q: Hi Does your blutooth I dock work with older Bose Sounddock models i think mine is about 7 /8 years old the one that has an aux conection?
A: Hi Nigel, the I-DOCK will be fine with this model. The I-DOCK requires a direct charge from the dock in order to work. For earlier models of the Bose Series 1 (1st generation) that can not charge an iPhone 4th Gen upwards, our BS1 or BS2 music receivers are the only ones that will work, due to the different charge output.
I bought a cheaper version of this Bluetooth adapter and I have to keep removing and replacing it each time I want it to sync to my devices. Is this the same with this device or whenever you turn your dock on, it automatically searches and syncs?
A: Hi Ian, this is common with the cheaper products. With the I-DOCK you do not need to remove and reinsert each time you want to listen, you can leave it docked (but we'd always recommend to turn the dock power off as we would with anything electrical). Also one of the key features of the I-DOCK is auto pairing - so when you have synced once, it will remember the device the next time you go to pair. Not only do you not need to remove it but it will also remember your devices. Hope this helps.
Q: Which Bluetooth product do I need for my Bose sounddock(bought 2nd hand). I believe it's first series but it does charge my I-pod Nano series 3 - thanks?
A: Hi Moira, If your dock can charge an iPhone 4 upwards, then the I-DOCK will work with it. If it can't, then it is the original Bose 1 and you need to purchase either the BS-1 or BS-2. If you haven't got an iPhone 4 to try it out, I would suggest purchasing either - seeing if it powers up. If it doesn't power up, you can return it and exchange for the correct receiver. Please just take care when removing the receivers from packaging - as although we offer a full refund policy, we can't accept returns where the receivers and scratched and damaged and the packaging has been torn apart. They can be easily removed without causing any damage to receiver or packet.
Q: Hi - got a Bose second generation - will this work OK?
A: Hey George - yes the i-DOCK will work great with your Bose!
Q: Is the i dock compatible with a Roberts Fusion DAB radio with i pod/i phone dock (30 pin dock). I have a i phone 5s?
A: Hi - we've not had any feedback on compatibility with that specific dock. We do know that it works with some Roberts docking stations, but Bluetooth music receivers are not generally brand specific and results will vary according to each different dock. You are welcome to try it out and should it not be compatible, we do have AUX versions which will work and we can replace it with (so long as you have an aux input). (see our Bluetooth Accessories for available receivers).
Q: Does this work if I place it in a docking station for an iPhone ?
A: The I-DOCK is a 30 pin music receiver so long as the docking station has a 30pin connection it will fit and it will work with any Bluetooth enabled device. It is worth noting that compatibility will vary amongst different docks but we do offer a full refund in the unlikely instance that your dock is not compatible. If you'd like to speak to someone about your specific dock please give us a call.
Q: What happens when you go out of range? Does it just stop playing? What if I go out?
A: Hi - as you go out of range the music will gradually get distorted until it loses connection and stops playing. If you come back in to range, it will automatically reconnect. Also if you go out (even all day) as long as your Bluetooth is on and the docks still on, it will just re-connect!
Q: Hi guys - can this device have multiple phones Blue-toothed/Paired at the same time? Thanks
A: Hi Jenny - good question. In short - no. But its very easy to swap the devices paired up to it. Even if you could, you would only be able to play music from one device while the other sits paired, but its super quick to swap. It will also repair automatically so you only need to go through the motions once!
Q: Hi, I have a Bose SoundDock series 2 and 5th generation iPod Touch, what's the best device for me to use to connect these two devices via Bluetooth?
A: Hi Ian - the I-SYNC will work with both of these. Many thanks.
Q: Hi.does this device work with an Arcam doc and a Cambridge Audio doc? Also can I have two running at the same time in different rooms from the same iPad? Thanks
A: Hi Lee, you can only have one receiver running from one device at a time. With regards to compatibility we know the I-SYNC won't work with the Arcam and we're not sure on your other dock. The I-DOCK might work, but you would need to try it out and if not compatibles you can return it to us. You might find that you need an aux receiver - if you have an aux connection - they work in the same way, they just need to be charged (instead of taking a charge from the dock itself) and the overcome compatibility issues. Kind regards Kirsty
Q: Hi, thanks for sending the iDock, all paired and working great.
My question is after listening to music from my phone, how do I switch back to listening to the TV which is plugged into the aux?
A: Hi Steve, you will need to unpair the I-DOCK to switch back to the TV if plugged into the aux. The I-DOCK will remember your phone the next time you go to use it. Any problems please call us on 01276 32375
Q: Does this work with the JBL On Stage III (not the micro or IIIp versions?
A: Hi Neal, We haven't tested this model, but the I-DOCK has the best compatibility so it would be worth trying that if any. If it doesn't work, you can return it and exchange it for a Bluetooth receiver than has an aux connection, instead of the 30pin, which is compatible with all docks and stereo units. Please take care when removing the receivers from packaging - as although we offer a full refund policy, we can't accept returns where the receivers and scratched and damaged and the packaging has been torn apart. They can be easily removed without causing any damage to receiver or packet.
Q: How can I tell if I need an I-DOCK or BS1 for my Original Bose series 1 docking station?
A: If your Bose Series 1 can charge an iPhone 4 upwards, you need either the I-DOCK or the I-SYNC. If it can't charge an iPhone 4 upwards then you need the BS-1. If you don't have an iPhone 4 upwards to test, then you will need to try one out. If you purchase the I-DOCK and it's not compatible (i.e. it doesn't power up at all) you can return it for the BS-1 - or vice versa.
Q: Hi, I have a Yamaha TSX-120 iPod dock. (4 years old). Is your receiver compatible? I have bought others (eg. Kitsound) that didn't work. Thanks
A: Hi Brian, The I-DOCK has the best compatibility so it would be worth trying that if any. If others haven't worked in the past, you might find that you will need to have a Bluetooth receiver that connects via aux - we have 3 in our Bluetooth Accessories (Car Aux Receiver, Bluetooth Aux Headset, Aux Bluetooth Receiver). They work in the same way, they just fit to a different connection point (the aux input / headphone jack) and need to be charged via USB for 2 hours, for 9 hours playback.
